All Praise is due to Allaah, and may the peace and blessings be upon His Messenger Muhammad.
It is legislated for all the Muslims to strive hard in the various types of worship during this noble month.
They should strive to pray voluntary prayers and
recite the Qur`an with reflection and thinking.
They should increase the glorification of Allaah [saying “SubhanAllaah”], declaring Allaah’s right to be worshiped alone [saying “La illaaha il Allaah”], praising Him [saying “Al-Hamdulillaah”], declaring His greatness [saying “Allaahu Akbar”] and seeking His forgiveness.
They should
say legislated supplications,
command the good, forbid the evil,
invite to Allaah,
be generous to the poor and needy,
strive to be kind to parents,
keep good family ties,
honor the neighbor,
visit the sick, and
other types of good deeds.
This is due to the Prophet’s (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) statement:
“Allaah looks at your competing for good works during it and He proudly tells the angels about you all. Therefore, show Allaah goodness from yourselves. For verily, the wretched person is the one who is deprived of Allaah’s Mercy during it (Ramadaan).”
This is also due to what is reported from him (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) that he said:
“Whoever draws near to Allaah during it (Ramadaan) with a single characteristic from the characteristics of (voluntary) goodness, he is like whoever performs an obligatory act in other times. And whoever performs an obligatory act during it, he is like whoever performed seventy obligatory acts in other times.” – Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 1887.
This is also due to his (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) statement in the authentic hadith:
“An ‘Umrah performed during Ramadaan is equal to a performance of Hajj – or he said – a Hajj with me.”– Al-Bukhari (no. 1863) and Muslim (no. 1256).
The ahadith and narrations that prove the sanctioning of competing, and being aggressive in performing the various acts of goodness in this noble month are numerous.
Allaah is the one Who is asked to help us and the rest of the Muslims to do all that contains His Pleasure and to accept our fast and standing for night prayer. We ask Him to correct our situations and protect us all from the deviations of trials and temptations. Likewise, we ask Him to make the leaders of the Muslims righteous, and unite their word upon the truth. Verily, Allaah is the Guardian of that, and He is capable of doing it.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) used to urge (the people) to perform (optional Tarawih) prayer at night during the month of Ramadan. He did not order them or make it obligatory on them. He (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Whosoever performs the night prayer in Ramadhaan, with Faith and in the hope of receiving Allah’s reward, will have his past (minor) sins forgiven. ”
[Sahih Muslim]
Abu Hurairah (Radhi Allaahu Anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (Sallalaahi alaihi wa Sallam) said:
“Ramadaan has come to you – a blessed month. Allaah has made it obligatory upon you to fast in it. During this month, the gates of heaven are open, the gates of the Hellfire are closed and the evil devils are chained. To Allaah belongs a night in it, which is better than a thousand months. Whoever is prevented from its good, then he has been deprived.”
This hadeeth is reported by Ahmad and An-Nasaa’ee. See Ahmad Shaakir’s checking of the Musnad (no. 7148) and Saheeh At-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb of Al-Albaanee (1490) as well as Tamaam-ul-Mannah (395)
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم said :
“He who observes the fast of the month of Ramadhaan out of sincerity and hope for the reward from Allaah will have his past sins forgiven.”
al-Tirmidhi (806) narrated that Abu Dharr (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Whoever prays qiyaam – i.e., Taraweeh – with the imam until he finishes, it will be recorded as if he spent the whole night in prayer.”
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi. Irwa’ al-Ghaleel (447)
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy upon him) said,
“At first the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) used to pray Taraweeh in congregation in the mosque, then he stopped because he feared that it might be made obligatory upon his ummah… No man should keep away from Taraweeh prayer lest he misses out on the reward for it. And he should not leave until the imam finishes Taraweeh and Witr, so that he may attain the reward of spending the whole night in prayer.
The Way to Perform the Night Prayer : Shaykh al-Albanee
I spoke in detail about this subject in my book Salaat at-Taraaweeh (pg. 101-115), so I felt that I should abridge that discussion here in order to make it easy for the reader and to remind him:
The First Manner: consists of thirteen rak’aat, which is commenced with two short rak’aat. According to the most correct opinion, these are the two rak’aat of Sunnah prayer offered after ‘Ishaa, or they are two specific rak’aat by which one begins the Night Prayer, as has been stated previously. Then one prays two very long rak’aat (after that). Then two more rak’aat are prayed, and then another two rak’aat are prayed. Then two more rak’aat are prayed and another set of two rak’aat are prayed. Then witr is made with one rak’ah.
The Second Manner: consists of thirteen rak’aat. There are eight rak’aat within them, in which one makes tasleem after every two rak’aat. Then witr is made with five rak’aat and one does not sit nor make the tasleem except in the fifth rak’ah.
The Third Manner: consists of eleven rak’aat, in which one makes tasleem after every two rak’aat and then prays witr at the end with one rak’ah.
The Fourth Manner: consists of eleven rak’aat, in which one prays four rak’aat and makes one tasleem after the four. The he prays another four in a similar manner and ends it with three rak’aat (for witr).
Would the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) remain in the sitting position after every two rak’aat, when praying a unit of four rak’aat or a unit of three rak’aat? We do not find a clear answer for this, but remaining in the sitting position (for tashahhud) while doing a unit of three rak’aat is not legislated (in the Religion)!
The Fifth Manner: consists of eleven rak’aat, in which one prays eight rak’aat and does not sit in any of them except for the eighth rak’ah. While sitting (in the eighth rak’ah), he makes the tashahhud and sends Salaat on the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) and then stands up again without making the tasleem. Then he makes witr with one rak’ah and when finished, he makes the tasleem. This consists of nine rak’aat. Then he prays two rak’aat after that while in the sitting position.
The Sixth Manner: One prays nine rak’aat, in which he does not sit except after the sixth rak’ah. Then he makes the tashahhud and sends Salaat on the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) and then stands again without making the tasleem. Then he makes witr with three rak’aat and when finished, he makes the tasleem, etc. (the rest is the same as the previous manner)
These are the manners in which it is reported that the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) performed the Night Prayer. It is possible to add other types of manners to it, by subtracting what one wishes from each set of rak’aat until he cuts it down to one rak’ah, acting on the previously mentioned hadeeth of Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam): “So whoever wishes, then let him pray witr with five rak’aat, and whoever wishes, then let him pray witr with three rak’aat, and whoever wishes, then let him pray witr with one rak’ah.”
So if one wants, he can pray these five rak’aat or three rak’aat with one sitting and one tasleem, as is stated in the Second Manner. And if he wants, he can maketasleem after every two rak’aat, as is stated in the Third Manner, and this is preferred.
As for praying the set of five rak’aat or three rak’aat by sitting after every two rak’aat and not making the tasleem, then we did not find any authentic report that the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) used to do this. The asl (foundation) is that it is permissible, but since the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) forbade us from praying witr with three rak’aat indicating the reason for that by saying:“And do not liken it to the Maghrib prayer.” [1] So then anyone that prays the witr in three rak’aat must not liken it to the Maghrib prayer. This can be done in two ways:
1. Making the tasleem between the even and odd number rak’ah (i.e. between the second and the third rak’ah). This is what is more strong and preferred.
2. One does not sit between the even and odd number (i.e. he prays three rak’aat straight with one tasleem), and Allaah knows best.

1-Sheikh Fawzan Question:
What are the most important means that will assist the woman upon obedience during the month of Ramadan?
Answer:
(Sheikh Fawzan) The means that will assist the Muslim upon obedience to Allah whether they are male or female are as follows.
1. Fear of Allahسبحانه وتعالى and to believe that He is observing the creation in all of their actions, and statements, and intentions and that He will take them to account for all of that. Therefore if the person is cognizant of this reality then he will busy himself with the obedience of Allah and leave off sins and he will hasten to repent from his wrongdoings.
2. Increase in the remembrance of Allah and the recitation of the Quranbecause this will soften the heart. Allah the Exalted said, (what can be translated as) ‘Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction’. (Chapter 13 verse 28) And Allah the Exalted said, (what can be translated as) ‘The believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts’. (Chapter 8 verse 2)
3. Avoiding the distractions that harden the heart and distance the individual from Allah, and this is every sin and mixing with evil people and eating from the impermissible and being heedless of the remembrance of Allah the Exalted, and watching the evil films.
4. The woman remaining in her home and not leaving her home except due to a need and then returning quickly to her home upon completion of her need.
5. Sleeping during the night because this will assist the person in waking up during the last part of the night. And sleep a little during the day, this will allow the person to perform their prayers in their respective times, and to busy their time with the obedience of Allah.
6. Guarding their tongues from backbiting and tale carrying and he said she said, bearing false witness and impermissible speech, but rather they should busy their tongue with the remembrance of Allah.
2- Means to assist you in worship during Ramadan – Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadi
The following is a summary translation taken from the Lecture
The guidance of the Salaf during Ramadan
Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadee—may Allah preserve him—said:
There are four means mentioned by the scholars that will assist you upon worship; four means that will assist you upon worship in general and in Ramadan specifically. Thus it is upon the slave to reflect and ponder upon them.
From the first means which they mentioned is decreasing the intake of food and drink; the food and drink which results in gluttony. Thus the person will stand up to pray while he is heavy, not able to make rukoo, not able to make sujood. Thus it is upon the person to decrease the food intake. Verily the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
A human does not fill a more evil container than a stomach. If it is inevitable, then he should reserve his stomach, a third for his food, a third for his drink and a third for his breathing.
Food takes one third; it should not fill the entire stomach; then the person says: The water permeates, and the air is going to come anyway from where it comes from. No, this is not correct. If the person decreases the food, the soul will be light and recuperate. This is the first reason.
The second reason: It is upon you to take the mid-day nap during the day, that which will assist you in standing during the night in Tawareeh prayer, and standing in prayer during the night outside of Ramadan. Take a nap during the day. If you take a nap during the day and you sleep a portion of the night in addition to this you will be recuperated by the permission of Allah the Blessed and Exalted.
The third affair which will assist you in standing in prayer and racing towards obedience is avoiding mixing with the people a lot, by wasting your time with them. It is a must that you preserve your time. For surely mixing with the people a lot is detrimental; even if the only harm that results from it is wasting time, this is sufficient as a detriment. You are responsible for preserving your time.
As for some of the people; mixing with them is like medicine. And some of the people; mixing with them is like nourishment. Some of the people; mixing with them is like a disease. And some of the people; mixing with them is like air.
As for those whom mixing with them is similar to a disease they are the people of evil, they have no good in them. Mixing with them is harmful upon the person in his religion and his worldly life.
As for those whom mixing with them is like nourishment, he is needed sometimes, not all the time. You do not just eat, eat and eat. The most you should eat is three meals a day; a meal in the morning; and in the middle of the day; and in the evening just before going to sleep. Thus mixing with this person is like nourishment, you sit with him for a limited amount of time.
Some of the people; mixing with them is like medicine. You go to this person on occasion. When you are with him your chest expands with that which is permissible. You find with him good speech, pleasant speech; you find with him the poems of the Arabs, information of the Arabs, wisdom and proverbs; that which will expand your chest. Thus your soul is at ease in his presence. You pass the time without disobeying Allah the Blessed and Exalted. Therefore as it relates to this person, if the need arises you sit with him to unwind and relax.
And there are some people; who mixing with them is like air, without it you will die. These are the virtuous people the people of righteousness the people of worship, the people of obedience. Those who it is said about them: Do not accompany except the one who seeing him makes you remember Allah, or his words direct you to Allah.
It was also said: Do not accompany except the one who his condition reminds you of Allah, or his statements direct you to Allah. They are the righteous so accompany them. If you accompany them you will be successful by the permission of Allah. And if you abandon them you may become weak, and perhaps the people of evil and the devils will overpower you. We ask Allah for safety and security.
If you fear this for yourself then adhere to them, because your adhering to them is like air, if you leave it you will die, you will stop breathing. Righteous actions are the nourishment for the soul.
Thus it is not suitable that you mix with everyone—O people; never. The people are on levels. So it is upon the slave to take advantage of these days and it is upon him to know the status of these days and it is upon him to preserve them.
The following is a summary translation taken from the Lecture
The guidance of the Salaf during Ramadan
The month of Ramadan—giving charity during this month has a high status.
It has been authenticated from the hadith of Anas—may Allah be pleased with him—that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
أفضل الصدقة صدقة رمضان
The best Sadaqa is the Sadaqa of Ramadan
Thus the Sadaqa during Ramadan has a high status. And included in this is providing food for the fasting person to break their fast with. It has been authenticated that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
Whoever provides food for the fasting person to break their fast with, he will have the reward of the fasting person without decreasing the reward of the fasting person at all.
Allah will give that (reward) to the person who breaks the fast of the person even if it is with a drink of water.
Thus the water which quenches the living creatures contains a tremendous blessing. Thus it is upon the slave to give this matter concern.
Abdullah ibn Umar—may Allah be pleased with them—would only break his fast during Ramadan with the poor. And it has been mentioned in his biography, that if his family would prevent the poor from breaking their fast with him—as they would refuse them sometimes—then he would not eat dinner. He would feel sadness—may Allah be pleased with him—thus he would not eat dinner that night. May Allah be pleased with him.
Once a beggar came to him asking for food while he was about to break his fast, so he took his portion of food enough to break his fast and left the food for the beggar. So when he returned home, his family had already eaten the food in the house. Thus he remained hungry until the following night. There was no food in his home.
As for our refrigerators, what is in our homes? A person goes to Panda; and Hyper Panda (Supermarkets in the gulf) and amasses food which he will not eat in a year. And the rest of the food will remain seven or eight months; the expiration date expires and the following Ramadan comes around so the food spoils.
Ramadan did not come for the purpose of gluttony. Ramadan did not come to overload the stomachs. It came to alleviate them so that the soul may be lightened. When the stomach is light the soul becomes light and proceeds towards worship. Look at the camel. If it is slender it is suitable for racing. This outcome comes as a result of leanness. It did not come as a result of filling the stomach; it came as a result of leanness, leanness of the stomach and minimal amount of food.
Thus as it relates to worship; if the person deceases his food and drink intake, he will be energetic towards worship.

First sermon
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. He has made fasting
a protection for us and availed the fasting people a special gateway towards
the Paradise.
I bear witness that there is no deity but Him the most Exalted, having
no associates. I also testify that our Master and Prophet Muhammad is His
Servant and Messenger. He is the Best of His Creation, the Closest to Him. He
urged us to engage in doing the best of acts and speak, except the best of
words. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his family, his
companions, and all those who will follow them in righteousness till the Day of
Judgment.
O Servants of Allah, I urge myself first and all of you to obey Allah and be submissive to
Him. Verily, Allah, Exalted is He, has declared the truth in His Holy Book:
"And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your
Lord, and for Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for
Al-Muttaqin (the pious)." (Al Imran: 133).
Dear Muslims,
Allah has bestowed upon us the great blessing of witnessing Ramadan
wherein Allah ordered us to do acts of charity. It is our duty therefore to
seize this opportunity to undertake good deeds and acts of obedience. Indeed
Ramadan is unique. There is no month like it, nor are there any better days for
engaging in charity work than during its days. It is a month for worship. In it
fasting is a duty and late night prayer is a rite. Ramadan is a month of
forgiveness and is an occasion for winning highest ranks in Paradise.
It has overwhelmed us with its fragrant whiff, blessed nights and
beautiful days. And although its days are numbered, their well-being is great.
Allah the Almighty described them as: "[Fasting
for] a limited number of days." (Al Baqara: 184).
So glad tidings to those who have welcomed Ramadan the way it should be
and are keen to benefit from its days and nights. Allah the most Exalted says,
"and for this let (all) those strive who want to strive (i.e. hasten
earnestly to the obedience of Allah)." (Al Mutaffifin: 26).
Dear Servants of Allah,
Please know that fasting has great merits and high values. Thus, Allah
has elevated the status of the fasting people by offering them a gate in
Paradise; no one enter through it except them. In this regard, our Prophet pbuh
said, "there is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe
fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them
will enter through it. It will be said, 'where are those who used to observe
fast?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After
their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it".
Our Lord has attributed great merits to fasting and promised immense
reward to those who observe it. Our Guide Muhammad pbuh said, "Allah,
the mighty and sublime, said: 'Every deed of the son of Adam is for him, except
fasting; it is for Me and I shall reward for it'." Moreover, fasting people are promised to have their misdeeds
forgiven as our Prophet pbuh said, "whoever fasted the month of Ramadan
out of sincere Faith (i.e. belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all
his past sins will be forgiven."
That is, anyone who observes fasting while believing in the obligation
of fasting and seeking pardon from his Lord will get mercy and forgiveness.
Similarly, those who observe fast sincerely and fulfil its conditions shall be
privileged and be amongst the winners and the righteous.
O who fast,
Fasting has valuable ethics that must be respected, like guarding the
tongue and senses from indecent speech or act, and observing the best of talk
and work. The Prophet pbuh said, “whoever does not give up forged speech and
evil actions and does not abandon foolishness, Allah is not in need of his
leaving food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting)."
In another Hadith, he stressed the same
commands saying, "If one of you is fasting, he should avoid sexual
relation with his wife and quarrelling, and if somebody should fight or quarrel
with him, he should say, 'I am fasting'."
Indeed, it is so beautiful to fast, guarding one's hearing, vision,
tongue and all of his senses. It is equally great if he could amend his
relations with others and cooperate with them in righteousness and piety.
Indeed the fasting person must be honest in speech, trustworthy in
transactions, perfect in discharging his responsibilities, moderate and
tolerant in his attitudes.
Dear Muslims,
Please remember that Ramadan is a month of Quran as stated in this Aya:
"The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for
mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and
wrong)." (Al Baqara: 185). The Muslim is therefore advised to reflect
on Quran's meanings when reading it. Likewise, he is advised to recite it
solemnly, exploring the meanings, morals and teachings incorporated in its
Ayas. As such, the reader of Quran would find in it tranquillity as our Lord
says, "those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic
Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah: verily, in
the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." (Arraad: 28).
Our Prophet pbuh used to urge people to recite Quran, especially in
Ramadan. He would say, "fasting and Quran will intercede on behalf of the
slave, fasting will say, 'O Allah, I deprived him from eating and drinking, let
me intercede for him.' In addition, the Quran says, 'O Allah, I deprived him
from sleeping at night let me intercede for him.' At the end, they are
permitted to intercede on his behalf." Those who read Quran, reflect on
its meanings and follow its orders shall, by Allah's favour, receive due
recompense.
During Ramadan, it is also recommended to increase prayers and
supplicate to Allah, for He says, "and when My slaves ask you (O
Muhammad pbuh) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by
My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on
Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in
Me, so that they may be led aright." (Al Baqara: 186).
The fasting person is close to Allah the most Exalted. His prayers shall
be accepted as our Prophet Muhammad pbuh said, "three supplications are
answered: The supplication of the fasting person, the supplication of the
traveller, and the supplication of the oppressed."
Congratulations then to those who increase prayers for themselves,
family, nation and the ruler. They are to be rewarded for asking Allah for
forgiveness and praying to Him during periods of the night and at the ends of
the day. The Almighty says, "and remember your Lord much (by praising
Him again and again), and glorify (Him) in the afternoon and in the morning."
(Al Imran: 41).
Other charity work that our Prophet pbuh called on people to do and
promised their doers great recompense are giving food and providing Iftar to
fasting people. He said, "whoever gives food for a fasting person to break
his fast, he will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their
reward in the slightest".
Increasing charity and spending are aspects of good deeds in Ramadan.
Our Prophet pbuh was the most generous people, and he would be even more
generous during Ramadan.
Bearing this in mind, may Allah accept our fasting and prayers. We also
plead with You to help us obey You, Your Messenger Muhammad pbuh and those You
have decreed on us to obey in compliance with Your orders: "O you who
believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority
among you." (Annisaa: 59).
May Allah direct us all to the blessings of the Glorious Quran and the
Sunna of His Messenger pbuh and benefit us all in whatever is in them.
I say this and ask Allah the Great, the Most Honoured for forgiveness
for me, you and all the Muslims for every sin, so invoke Him for forgiveness,
for He is the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Second sermon
Praise be to Allah. I bear witness that there is no deity but Him,
having no associates. I also bear witness that our Master Muhammad is His
Servant and Messenger, may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon our
Prophet Muhammad, his pure family, his companions and all those who will follow
them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.
O Servants of Allah,
Please be aware that you are asked to obey Him, the Almighty, as it
ought to be by observing Him in private and in public and know that amongst the
qualities of the pious believers is abstaining from begging. The believer
should be grateful to and content with Allah's blessings. This is further
stressed in the following Hadith: "Gabriel came to me and said, ‘O
Muhammad, live as you wish, for you shall eventually die. Love whom you desire,
for you shall eventually depart. Do what you please, for you shall pay. Know
that the night-prayer is the honour of a believer, and his pride is being
independent on others.”
The same notion is highlighted in yet another Hadith: "and whoever
abstains from asking others for some financial help, Allah will provide for him
and save him from asking others; Allah will make him self-sufficient.”
To achieve this goal, Islam urges us to seek work to earn our living and
be independent. We must not beg anyone, because begging is harmful to us,
whether as individuals or as a community. Our Prophet pbuh said, "no
doubt, one had better take a rope (and cut) and tie a bundle of wood and sell it
whereby Allah will keep his face away (from Hell-fire) rather than ask others
who may give him or not. "
Please know also that begging is illegal. So kindly cooperate with the
concerned authorities by reporting begging cases if any.
Knowing this, bear in mind that you are asked to offer prayer and
greetings upon our most noble Prophet pbuh for Allah says, "indeed,
Allah and His angels sends blessing upon the Prophet. O you who have believed,
ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace."
(Al Ahzab: 56).
On the same matter, the Prophet pbuh said, "for everyone who
invokes a blessing on me will receive ten blessings from Allah." He also
said, "nothing turns back the Decree except supplication".
May the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon our Master Muhammad
pbuh, his family and all his Companions. May Allah be pleased with the Rightly
Guided Caliphs: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali, and all those who will follow
them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.
May Allah help us to benefit from these precious days. May Allah also
help us to fast, pray and read Quran as well as make us amongst those of the
winners, O the most Beneficent.
O Allah, we implore You at this instant not to let a sin unforgiven, a
distress unrelieved, an illness unhealed or a handicapped without relief, a
dead without mercy or a debt unsettled. Our Lord, give us in this world that
which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the
torment of the Fire.
O Allah, may we ask You to help us with what gets us closer to Paradise
and furthers us from hell. O Allah we seek Your grace to admit us, our parents,
whoever has done a favour to us and all Muslims to Your Paradise.
May Allah grant success and continued good health to our leader HH
Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. May Allah also ensure success to his
Deputy, HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and provide strength and
assistance to his brothers, Their Highness The Rulers of the Emirates, and his
trustworthy Crown Prince HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
O Allah, forgive all of the Muslims, men and women, living and dead, and
make blessings follow us and them. May Allah have mercy on Sheikh Zayed and
Sheikh Maktoum and all their brothers, the Late UAE Sheikhs. O Lord, forgive
and show mercy to our parents, relatives and whoever has done a favour to us.
O Allah, we pray to You to grant Your forgiveness to who built this
mosque and to his or her parents as well as to anyone who gave to this mosque.
O Allah, we also supplicate to You to forgive whoever built a mosque where Your
name is remembered.
O Allah, make this gathering one of compassion, and our dispersion after
it one that is infallible. O Allah, do not let anyone amongst us deprived,
desperate or unhappy.
We pray to Allah, the Most Gracious, to preserve the UAE from all
temptations, both apparent and hidden, and
continue blessing the UAE and all Muslim countries with safety and
security.
"Indeed,
Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids
immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you
will be reminded." (Annahl: 90).
O servants of Allah, remember Allah and He will remember you. Be grateful for His
benevolence He will increase His blessings to you. Allah, the Most High, says,
"and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and
wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which
you do." (Al Ankaboot: 45).
