A BEAUTIFUL OF ADVICE FOR ALL OF US! WE NEED IT !
Call to the way of Allaah with wisdom.
Allaah says;
“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair admonition and debate with them in a manner that is best.” [Soorah Nahl: 125]
And be kind when calling and reminding the believers.
Allaah says;
“And lower your wing (i.e., be courteous) to the believers.” [Soorah Al-Hijr: 88]
Make things easy for the one receiving your call.
Anas bin Malik narrated that the Prophet (saw) said;
“Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam).” [Sahih Bukhari Volume 8, Book 73, Number 26]
In another narration, he (saw) mentioned;
“Verily among you are those who chase people away.“
Not wrapping oneself in this golden advice wil eventually cause people to turn away from you!
Allaah says;
“And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you.” [Soorah Aali 'Imraan:159]
Severe against the disbelievers?
As for the aayah describing the believers as “…severe against the disbelievers…” then this is referring to when they do not accept our call of tawheed (i.e., Islaam). We fight against those who deserve to be fought. But this is of course after the proper introductory steps.
If only people would take heed upon this golden advice!
