LET US ADHERE THE ETIQUETTE OF THE MAJLIS-Reminder -FATIMA DIABY

Assalam alaykum wrbt. my Dearest sisters,

A beautiful  Inkaarul Munkar  from a sister  Ummzaiba MashALLAH!!
As we all love to attend the halaqa and like to hear  from some eloquent speakers It is crucial that we adhere to the etiquette of the Majlis
May ALLAH enable us to follow the Steps of the sahabiat Ameen
Before reading these lines below
Remember that whenever we are good we see good and whatever discrepancies we come to know ,we should advise so it all rectify/change for the better InshALLAH.

 Ummzaiba says:
Yesterday I had been at an Islamic Gathering(not to mention), I was really feeling very sad that our Muslims really don't know our culture we immitate the (non-muslims).  Anything happens that pleases us we start clapping,  Is this our culture? When a particular speaker came (not to mention) to the dias literally all the venue was full of cheering and it looked as though it's not a speaker from islam but a pop singer or some celebrity, it's really very very sad to say that is this the way of muslim? Even our sisters are cheering. There's a hadith we all know that a majalis where the talks are about Allah is surrounded by the malaika. Do you think such majalis will have this. Please sisters it's my request,  we are the students of knowledge,  it's our duty that if we see something wrong we need to rectify it,  we can tell our people who all are sitting around us to do takbeer instead . I know that it's difficult but we can at least try. for the Rest let us leave it  on ALLAH and we can pray for our muslim brothers and sisters for guidance from ALLAH.
-Ummzaiba

We shall remind our male relatives that clapping is not allowed and they may use the takbeer instead
Clapping during parties is one of the actions of jaahiliyyah. The least that can be said about it is that it is makrooh (disliked), but the evidence suggests rather that it is haraam, because the Muslims are not allowed to resemble the disbelievers. Allah says describing those of Makkah (interpretation of the meaning):
“Their Salaah (prayer) at the House (of Allaah, i.e. the Ka‘bah at Makkah) was nothing but whistling and clapping of hands”[al-Anfaal 8:35]
The Sunnah is, when the believer sees something that he likes or dislikes, to say ‘Subhaan Allaah (Glory be to Allaah)’ or ‘Allaahu akbar (Allaah is Most Great),’ as was narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in many ahaadeeth.

As for My lovely sisters, needless to say that we should refrain  from shouting/cheering /uproaring etc...  for a non- Mahrams, that the speakers are at the end of the day!

Let us keep it up with the good job!! by always attending the halaqa and let us keep adhering to the  Islamic etiquette InshALLAH

May ALLAH grant peace to ALL and bless our knowledge.

JazakAllah Khairan for such a beautiful reminder by UmmZaiba with reference to clapping, the mistake which I myself commit. In Shaa Allah after reading this myself and all those who have received the message will try our best to adhere to the rules In Shaa Allah. However how can this important message be put forward to the rest of the people attending such gatherings. Please let me know if I can be of any help. I tried to reply to this in the comment section but would not go through. Can you please guide me.

Fatuma once again JazakAllah Khairan for your emails and also thanks for forwarding them to my sister in law . Looking forward to see you at the convention today. Are you going to be there? I was there the last two days but did not see you.

One more question Fatuma. Please can you tell me or find out for me and tell me if we can recite Quranic Verses or Suras Orally without Wuzu and can you shade some light also on touching the Quran without Wuzu. (references will be appreciated)

I shall really appreciate. Looking forward to your reply

    Wasalaam Your sister Mumtaz
