The General (Restricted) and Absolute (Specific) Types of Barakah
The general restricted type of barakah is found in various things. Amongst them:
1. The Rain is blessed since an increase in tillage, plants, crop and life in general is obtained by it and there is also considerable growth on account of it.

• And We sent down blessed rain from the sky and produced from it gardens and grain that are reaped 50:9

  and Let us remember to apply these Sunnah 

a) keep your children in ,Close your doors and windows

covers your vessels  at night while saying bismillah 

b)Put your right Shoe first and remove the left shoe first

c)

 and say the beautiful Duas

At the time of rain:

اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبَاً نَافِعَا

Allaahumma Sayyibann Naafi’aa

“O Allaah, (bring) beneficial rain clouds.”
(Bukhari – Fathul-Bari 2/518)

After it has rained:

مُطِرْنَا بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَ رَحْمَتِهِ

Mutirnaa bifaDlillaahi wa rahmatihi

“It has rained by the bounty of Allaah and His Mercy”
(Bukhari 1/205, Muslim 1/83)

At the time of thunder:

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةٌ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ

SubHanalladhii yusabbiHur ra’du bi hamdihi wal malaa-ikatu min kheefatihi

“Glory is to Him Whom thunder and angels glorify due to fear of Him.”

[Whenever Abdullaah bin Zubair radhiyaAllaahu anhu would hear thunder, he would abandon all conversation and say this supplication. See al Muwatta 2/992.
